Exhibitor Name: ReSymmetry - Care in Motion
Stand Number: 13086

ReSymmetry is the developer of a smart robotic wheelchair that introduces controlled, gentle movement of the wheelchair parts, based on an individualized programme tailored to meet the specific needs of each user.
The wheelchair, invented in the 1930s, has remained essentially unchanged. Until now. Persons confined to wheelchairs for many hours each day are at high risk of medical issues that are not directly associated with the cause of their disability; some of which are life-threatening: pressure sores and ulcers; hip dislocation; scoliosis; muscle deterioration and reduced range of motion; spasms; osteoporosis; cardiovascular, blood circulation and pulmonary issues; and blood clots. These medical conditions worsen over time and require medical treatment - in some cases, lengthy hospitalization and costly surgery.
By introducing movement, ReSymmetry`s revolutionary wheelchair alleviates these secondary medical conditions and their associated, unnecessary added discomfort. It delivers multiple physiotherapy-like sessions throughout the day. The movement and postural changes improve the health and enhance the quality of life of wheelchair users, allowing them to participate more fully in life.
ReSymmetry`s smart robotic wheelchair is ideally suited for home use, hospitals, rehabilitation centres and nursing homes.
