Blue Assist is a simple way of asking for assistance by people who might have difficulty communicating, whether due to physical, cognitive or mental health problems. It has a distinctive logo on the free cards with a space where people can write their message whether it is a question or request. To help those who find it hard to read there is a space for a picture to be drawn to identify the right card. Or a free phone application can be used which has the added advantage of an individual emergency number to be programmed in.
We work with organisations training their staff in how to respond to a BlueAssist card or phone app and we teach groups how to introduce the system to people who need it such as those attending rehabilitation services.
We want more people to gain a voice and create an inclusive society.
