A number of years ago Ian & Sue Rainford moved to Brickhouse Farm with their two daughters. Their youngest daughter was later involved in a RTA, which left her with disabilities. When she eventually came out of hospital the Rainfords adapted their home to cater for her needs; ramps, level floor access and a large wetroom to make things easier for everyone.
After speaking with innumerable families in similar situations, all of which struggled to find holiday accommodation with these adequate adaptations, the Rainfords decided to try to make a difference.
On Christmas Day 2012, being builders to trade, the Rainfords started to build cottages on Brickhouse Farm, on a site which was previously used to keep chickens on. Then, after 6 intense months of extremely hard labour they opened Brickhouse Farm Cottages! Ian & Sue wanted the cottages to look `home from home` rather than clinical and with a special touch of luxury......even accessible hot tubs to relax in!
The hot tubs have been enjoyed to such an extreme that a hydrotherapy pool has now been added to provide therapy during their visitors well deserved holiday.
All 12 Brickhouse Farm Cottages aim to accommodate all abilities so all you have to do is call or email and the family will try their very best to make your holiday one to remember!
