A dedicated accessibility marketplace that brings together the very best products for people with disability. The original inspiration for Mysokoni came from Naidex 2016; we got inspired after speaking with many exhibitors about their products from the incredible variety of mobility products to the fantastic holiday cottages that are available.
The challenge many of them told us, was that the general public does not know these products and service are available. So we thought why not bring them all together in a single place, so buyers can easily find vendors who sell products to make their lives easier.
As part of our research, we read The Click-Away Pound Report 2016 by Rick Williams & Steve Brownlow. The report highlighted some of the challenges customers with disabilities experience shopping online. Importantly it also pointed out that a website can meet web accessibility guidelines (WCAG2) and still be difficult to use for people with disability. With some help and advice from World Institute on Disability and Ruh Global, we created Mysokoni. We have come a long way and are dedicated to continually improving the experience for our customers and vendors.
There are currently 73 categories of products that will continue to grow as we get more vendors on board. Top level categories are:
Fitness & Leisure
