One of the most successful Claims Management Companies in the UK, We Fight Any Claim is based in Cwmbran, south Wales. The company is leading the fight to help consumers reclaim the billions of pounds they paid for Payment Protection Insurance (PPI). So far, the company has helped customers receive over £400m in offers for mis-sold PPI.
In March this year, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) announced an August 2019 deadline for customers to reclaim any mis-sold PPI. We Fight Any Claim is hoping to encourage as many people as possible to make a claim before it`s too late.
Many pre-existing medical conditions and disabilities were exempt from PPI agreements. This means, that although a customer with a disability might`ve willingly agreed to take out a PPI agreement, they never would`ve been entitled to compensation if they were to make a claim.
The staff at We Fight Any Claim are expertly trained to adjust the service they deliver accordingly, to make sure the individual needs of our customers are met.
Once a customer decides to proceed with the process, and returns their claim pack, it takes around fifteen days to establish whether PPI was sold to them. However, it is first the job of Claim Investigators to identify whether the customer could have been actually mis-sold PPI.
At this stage, there is an emphasis on pre-existing medical conditions, as PPI policies contained all sorts of exclusions and limitations. It is important to remember that PPI was designed to cover debt repayments if the customer suffered a temporary or permanent loss of income due to accident, sickness or unemployment.
Pre-existing medical conditions should have been spoken about at the point of sale, to see if the customer was likely to be eligible for the PPI policy in the first place. However, many of the most common reasons why people were off work were usually excluded in the small print on the PPI policies, but this was rarely explained to the customer.
Representatives from We Fight Any Claim will be attending the event to answer any questions about the link between pre-existing medical conditions and the PPI scandal, and will be offering a free, no obligation PPI check for all attendees.
Richard Thomas, CEO of We Fight Any Claim spoke of the company`s presence at Naidex 2018:
`The health complaints that were exempt from PPI meant many of those living with disabilities were paying for a cover that would never have benefitted them.
`We are aware of the financial pressures experienced by disabled people and understand that benefits and allowances do not cover all the costs associated with living with a disability.
`We hope that those attending Naidex will take advantage of the no-obligation, free PPI check that we are offering.`
We will be showcasing at Naidex 2018 as part of our aim to help as many people as possible to get money back they are entitled to. We will be there to provide advice and support to those people who would`ve never benefitted from their PPI policy in the first place.
