Ocean3D are delighted to be a key speaker at Naidex 2018- Europe’s most exciting disability and independent living at the NEC Birmingham on the 25th & 26th April for an incredible 44th edition.
Ocean3D will be celebrating the success of one of its clients, Weston College, who have just won The Queens’ Award. The Queen's Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education are a biennial award scheme within the UK honours system. As such they are the UK’s most prestigious form of national recognition open to a UK academic or vocational institution.
They are awarded every two years by The Queen on the Prime Minister’s advice. UK universities and colleges were invited in October 2016 to submit entries on any aspect of their work for assessment against the scheme’s criteria of excellence, innovation and practical benefit, to the institution itself and UK education, and to the UK economy and society and for public benefit in general.
As part of their recognised innovative approaches, Ocean3D created a 3D tour of their pioneering autism spectrum independence living training facility, Weston Bay.
It provides independent living training to young people on the autism spectrum in the Bristol and Somerset area, and has gained national and international attention for its pioneering provision.
