Professor Claire de Than is a Law Commissioner (Jersey) and the author of over 80 academic publications. She has also been an Expert for the Law Commission of England and Wales on two recent criminal law projects.
A regular keynote speaker at legal and medical conferences, she has advised several governments and many organisations on criminal law, human rights law, disability rights and law reform issues, and has made many media appearances. Her research specialisms include comparative human rights law and the law of consent.
She is Chair of SHADA, the Sexual Health and Disability Alliance, a Trustee of The Outsiders Trust and a member of the Board of Enable Jersey.
