Graeme is a disability consultant who helps organisations become excellent employers for disabled people.
He is an expert in IT Accessibility and was recognised for his work in this field with the award for Outstanding Contribution by an Individual at the UK Financial Sector Technology awards in 2009. In 2010 he wrote the procurement annex for BS 8878, a British Standard on Web Accessibility.
His other key achievements include creating an award-winning approach to making workplace adjustments for disabled employees at Lloyds Banking Group, and leading the creation of the Dementia Friendly Financial Services charter whilst representing the UK banking sector on the Prime Minister’s Dementia Challenge 2012-15.
Now working as an independent consultant, his clients include Channel 4 Television who he joined in 2016 as disability specialist to help them become an exemplar employer for disabled people, and he is now working across the TV/film sector in helping independent production companies become more confident in employing disabled people. Graeme was awarded an MBE in 2016 for his services to people with dementia and disabilities.
