This seminar aims to introduce and spread awareness of the Changing Places campaign and the newly updated British Standards.
Changing Places is a campaign on behalf of people who cannot use standard accessible toilets. This includes people with profound
learning disabilities, their carers, as well as other people with disabilities, all in need of Changing Places toilets with space and the
right equipment- including a height adjustable changing bench and a hoist. The seminar will cover a range of topics including an
analysis on ‘What is Changing Places?’, ‘The importance of ensuring correct facilities’, ‘How to become a Campaigner’, ‘Changing
Places in the News’, ‘The Support Network’ and more. Attending this seminar should provide you with all the information and
content you need to support the campaign and your local disabled community.
