A Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA), Peter Ennis is an experienced internal controls assurance and risk management specialist. He was head of business assurance at RPMI for over 10 years and previously headed up an internal audit team at the University of Durham, where he initiated and developed a new internal audit service from scratch.
Peter is always striving to develop and refine the most effective and efficient means of providing controls assurance to clients and has developed techniques for integrating risk management and internal controls across a range of assurance requirements, including data protection, cyber security, information security management systems and assurance reporting.
Peter is currently the Director of Quest Internal Audit Services Limited, providing advice and consultancy on a wide range of internal control, assurance, and risk management matters.
The seminar will consider the key obligations for businesses in achieving compliance with the new General Data Protection Regulation which is effective from 25 th May 2018. Specific attention will be directed towards the new and enhanced requirements of the legislation and the organisational and technical measures that must be implemented to achieve compliance.
