Lauren Drake

Lauren is a Consultant Speech and Language Therapist at Healing Touch Rehab. Her experiences have allowed her to work extensively across many areas in paediatric and adult Speech and Language Therapy. She has a special interest in Down syndrome, ABI, neurological impairment, genetic disorders, SEN, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and Autistic spectrum disorder.

Lauren has spent years in the NHS and across the private sector. She currently works privately and supports specialist Charities. She also acts in a consultative role providing advice to businesses and educational providers. In addition Lauren works in partnership with a Harley street based private practice. She has trained hundreds of parents and professionals in understanding communication in order to support and develop the communication abilities of the individuals they work with.

Lauren is passionate about equipping individuals with Speech, language, and Communication needs with the skills to overcome and manage their challenges. As a Licentiate of Trinity College London (Formally Trinity Guildhall), Lauren has integrated taught communication interventions and Speech and Language therapy across all ages and has supported multiple education settings in re-evaluating their learning environments to create inclusive learning environments for all their students, enabling many children with additional needs to stay in mainstream education.
