Nathalie McGloin

Racing Driver

Nathalie McGloin is the only female quadriplegic racing driver in the world. Having broken her neck in a car crash when she was 16, Nathalie is completely paralysed from the chest down yet she competes against non-disabled men.

Nathalie races cars with hand controls which means she is at no real disadvantage to her fellow racers. Having won her first outright race at Silverstone in 2018 and achieving a number of podiums in various championships, Nathalie is proof that both gender and disability are completely irrelevant when it comes to racing cars.

After only three short years in the sport, in 2018 Nathalie was appointed President of the FIA Disability and Accessibility Commission which is responsible for the governing body’s global policies on disabled participation in motorsport. Nathalie also co-founded the charity Spinal Track which offers track and rally driving experiences to disabled drivers.

Nathalie’s moto is Anything Is Possible because she truly believes that if you want something badly enough, you can always find a way to achieve it.
