James Burch
James is co-founder of Decently, a north west based Health Tech company committed to improving lives through creating innovative, digital health products.
For the past 3 and a half years Decently have been working closely with neuro rehab colleagues across NHS and Private providers to learn about the current challenges & limitations of collecting and analysing behavioural data from patients that have suffered an ABI and are experiencing challenging to manage behaviours - this has culminated in the design and development of the web-based platform Melo.
Melo is designed to improve understanding of patient behaviour across MDT and facilitate better (evidence-based) decisions around patient care through more intuitive and real-time data collection & visualisation.
Melo is now in use across a number of NHS and Private neurorehabilitation settings and has further implementations planned across 2025.
James has 20+yrs experience of implementing digital solutions across both Education and Health sectors and has seen many benefits and also has a good appreciation of the various challenges this new way of working presents across workforce, clinical / ethical, governance and technical standpoints.
