Liz Morrison
Liz calls it her ‘legacy’ to support people living with a range of disabilities to connect with nature,
often through horses. She is exploring ways to make special locations more accessible, connecting
with Visit Britain, The National Trust and private landowners. There have been ups and downs on
the journey!!
They revolve around launching The Happiness Horsebox CIC, a unique vehicle, built over lockdown,
funded by equestrian charities and rural organisations, and winner of a Sport England Innovation
Award.
The idea was simple - a hydraulic mounting platform attached to a horsebox to create a mobile
facility which can go ‘off the beaten path’ with horses…. It has a kitchen, loo, external awning and a
pop-out side that creates a welcoming wheelchair accessible facility. With heating and insulation, it
offers a safe space to talk, reflect and regroup after a busy day out in nature. Fully licenced to
provide a professional service, It has a significant payload, and can be available as a support vehicle
for adventure and fundraising, as well as shaping the future of equine-assisted therapy.
Join her to build the vision for your adventures in nature…
