Rachael Hutchinson

Rachael has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon for over 17 years, specialising in neuro-disability. She has experience of working with patients in the UK and further afield in Australia and America. Her master’s Degrees in Functional Assessment and Gait Analysis and Public Health Medicine further enhance her experience in understanding how to optimise function in neuromuscular conditions and the positive impact this has for the individuals concerned.

Rachael is also an International Acumen Fellow, a chosen and trained group of International leaders aiming to redefine the future for under-represented communities. She is a Medical Classifier for British Para Swimming and Para Table Tennis, working regularly with Para Sport’s athletes but also organisations to improve grass roots disabled sports opportunities.

In 2018 she cofounded Able2B with Jon Thaxton, recognising that the standard NHS approach to therapy was not achieving the best outcomes for her patients.
