Neurodiversity at Work – creating inclusive workplaces for those who think differently
Around 90% of all disabilities are not visible.
Adjustments make a huge difference to the working life satisfaction for disabled individuals, and many of them are free or very low cost. Research shows without them, neurodivergent people are twice as likely to leave your organisation as neurotypical people.
Jacqui Wallis, CEO of award-winning Neurodiversity community organisation, Genius Within CIC, will talk about how individuals and organisations can understand their strengths, gain insight into what their challenges are, and build workplaces where everyone is able to work at their best, more of the time.
Genius Within CIC work with individuals and organisations from a range of sectors; from Criminal Justice, Long term unemployed, Government and public sector and private businesses and organisations. Last year they were awarded the King’s Award for their work in Promoting Opportunities. As well as being a Community Interest Company, they were accredited with B Corp status in 2023 and are a Leader in the Disability Confident Employer program.
