FES Guideline development and implementation

Functional electrical stimulation (FES) can be applied for exercise and functional activities such as walking for people with neurological conditions. Evidence provided by Guidelines (Nice or other) to implement FES as a treatment option is growing. Birmingham FES Clinic has a large caseload and experience for many different FES applications with adults and children. Case studies are presented to share knowledge and practice with the aim to provide treatment choice for patient and clinician through awareness.
