Panel Discussion: Starting and Sustaining an Effective Disability Campaign

20 Mar 2024
Main Stage
Community experiences , Peer advice & Support

Starting and sustaining an impactful disability rights campaign takes passion, perseverance and strategic thinking. In our upcoming panel discussion "Starting and Sustaining an Effective Disability Campaign", our expert panellists will draw on their extensive experience spearheading campaigns and advocacy initiatives to share their insights on how to make a difference in the disability community.

Panellists will discuss how to identify the specific disability rights issue you aim to impact and develop a vision for the change you want to drive. They will share tips on building a diverse coalition of partners to strengthen your campaign, as well as strategies for engaging policymakers and raising public awareness through traditional and social media. Recognising that affecting real change takes time, panellists will also explore how to plan for the long haul, avoid burnout, and continually evolve tactics to maximize effectiveness.

Our panellists look forward to supporting disability advocates at all stages to turn passion into meaningful, sustainable impact.
