Inclusive Language Training - Disability, Chronic Illness & Energy Limiting Conditions

Based on the social model of disability, this session dives into our use of language across many areas that are often omitted from traditional inclusive language training - long-term and fluctuating conditions, energy-limiting conditions, dynamic disabilities, mobility aids, and more. We also explore the narratives that surround these words and phrases, and how our use of language can avoid us perpetuating harmful beliefs and work toward a more compassionate, equitable world instead.
