The concept was created by two-time Paralympian and Former Royal Marines Commando Phil Eaglesham. Focusing on users’ frustrations, tackling everyday issues, and producing a hybrid device which can be used indoors and out.
What makes Omni different?
Bespoke omni wheels on the rear, providing on the spot rotation, removing outdated caster wheels which get stuck on the smallest of stones. 20” alloy wheels add a sense of style to the device. No longer do you need to worry about cars parked over drop kerbs, you can mount a non-standard kerb up to 127mm/5 inches with ease. Coupled with four wheel drive and the same torque as a 2 litre diesel engine, there isn’t much that can get in your way, and the active suspension system makes rough paths and cobbled roads accessible.
A compact size (length 95cm, width 66cm) means you can fit through a strandard doorway, opening areas that weren’t previously accessible. A folding backrest allows the compact design to fit in the boot of an estate car.
Living life at a height below what the world has accounted for, leaves a lot of struggles, both practically and socially. Hence, we developed our patented lifting mechanism that sits you at ‘social height’, whilst travelling at speeds of up to 4mph. No longer will you struggle at counters, have to ask for someone to reach the top shelf or even negotiate to get past clothes rails without getting hit by garments. Life at ‘social height’ is truly about wellbeing and improving mental health.
Other devices have 5 speed settings which aren’t very practical. With Omni, you have increments of 0.2 mph, so it’s up to you to choose the speed you want to go at, rather than being limited by the chair. Travelling at up to 4mph on the pavement and 8mph on the road. As a class 3 mobility device, it’s road legal, so you don’t need to worry about getting home, Omni will get you their.
Our bespoke system controls two 48V motors with a modern touch sensitive display. Clear and concise controls, powered by modern high capacity batteries with 48V lithium ion cells, delivering 32Ah of capacity. Equating to over 30 miles on a single charge.
For comfort, we have a modular seat system that’s adjustable from head to toe, with arm and hand adjustments allowing a personalised set up to minimise induced tension. Having two 1300N actuators, we have real tilt-in-space, allowing over 30 degrees of tilt, providing much needed relief or movement for steep hills and kerb descent with ease.
