Friendly Shoes
Created by an occupational therapist, the shoes’ colours, sleek styles and level of support appeal to people who have previously struggled to find footwear that fitted well, and that they were proud to wear.
The shoes’ USP is their ‘easy shoe access’ – wide-opening, discreet zips that feature at the back or go all the way down the side, making it easier for people to get their shoes on and off. Available in three smart styles for men, women and kids, all are supportive, wide-fitting, lightweight, accommodate AFOs and have removable memory foam insoles.
Inaccessible footwear is one of the biggest issues for people living with a disability. Whether you have never been able to tie your shoelaces, have swollen or wide feet, or are a carer putting on shoes for your loved one, Friendly Shoes is here to help.
Why your feet will love them:
So easy to get on and off: No more struggling to put your shoes on! Thanks to a unique zip opening, our shoes are incredibly easy to put on or off. The zip opens the shoe up wide so you can slide your whole foot in easily.
Wide-fit: Searching for shoes with a wide toe box? Friendly Shoes have the answer! All the shoes are an E fitting – great for accommodating wider feet, swelling, orthotics and AFOs.
Comfort is king: Our wide-fitting shoes come with a memory foam insole that absorbs shock and reduces impact. The insole is removable if you want to use your own orthotics. The inside is also cushioned, and the padded heel collar provides support.
They fit orthotics: Got your own orthotics? No problem! Our memory foam insoles are removable. You can either slide your orthotic under the insole (such as a heel raise) or remove it completely for your bespoke one.
Lightweight: The days of heavy shoes are long gone. Friendly Shoes are super lightweight, so they don’t drag your feet down.
Friendly Shoes mean you don’t have to compromise on function and fashion. They’re the shoes for all abilities, helping people get dressed independently for longer.
